About Sentinel Protection Server
Sentinel Protection Server is the license manager of your networked applications. It maintains the licensing information of the keys attached or installed on the system.
The Sentinel Protection Server is installed on the networked systems where the key is attached or installed—allowing concurrent access to an application, using a single key.
It also runs an HTTP thread to allow key and license monitoring over the LAN/WAN. See the topic Sentinel License Monitor for details.
TIP: While using Sentinel Protection Server behind a firewall, make sure to open the default port (6001) for UDP protocol. You can also edit the Sentinel Protection Server configuration file to use a different port for UDP protocol.
