Re: Nozzle Pressure Range for PC outlets

Hi,

Pressure Compensating emitters can use the full pressure range by setting the above and below (+/-) outlet tolerances appropriately. See Help|Help Topics - IRRICAD Database Editor Manual -> Irrigation Components -> Details of Individual Groups -> Outlets.

If Running BricsCAD V18 Upgrade to the latest patch

We have noticed that in some cases BricsCAD V18 may cause a crash in IRRICAD Link, for example, when copying dimensions. The solution is to upgrade to BricsCAD v18.2.20. You can download this file from Bricsys or from our server http://www.irricad.com/Irricad/Download/Temp/BricsCAD-V18.2.20-2-en_US(...

Re: zone pipes

Currently this option is not possible. You can define the minimum length of a lateral, but you can not define a minimum length for zone or mainline pipes. This feature may be available in the future at some stage.

Re: Import from google earth

Hi, Google Maps may have inconsistent resolution for different areas, which is out of our control. In general, for the USA it is usually pretty good. Note that in IRRICAD Version 17 you have some control over the resolution of the imported image, though this of course is based on the original resolu...

Fortran Error in IRRICAD Link on Some Systems

Depending on the set up of some computer systems you may see a Fortran error in IRRICAD Link V17 when running Design. If this occurs, it can be rectified by downloading a newer FortDesign64 DLL file and saving this into your installed IRRICAD Link folder. For AutoCAD download the DLL compatible with...

Re: Irricad Link - Large Negative Z values

Hi Kyle,

In IRRICAD Link the Z value may not be set (-100000.00) or may be set to 0.0 for IRRICAD items. However, if elevations are present and able to be used in the hydraulic design then the "Elevation" is specified in the Object Info dialog as follows:-

Re: Cut Lasso not working

Hi Kyle, It sounds like you have changed the text size/DPI Scale of your monitor. When the text size is greater than 100% you need to allow for this in IRRICAD. Follow the steps in our forum post Rubberbanding Offset from Pipes / Circular Cursor Incorrect (https://www.irricad.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.ph...

Importing Information From Different Projections to Match the Google Earth Image Placement

When importing background information from different sources, such as a survey DXF/DWG and an automatic Google Earth image, the information can be imported to different coordinate locations because of the different projections used in each file. It is, however, advantageous to have all information a...

Problems Importing DXF/DWG files into IRRICAD Standalone

IRRICAD Standalone is based on a Visual CADD engine and therefore there may be some compatibility issues between DWG/DXF files and IRRICAD Standalone. Note that the newer the IRRICAD version the greater the compatibility will be. The most common errors and the solutions are listed below. 1. File ver...

Re: "Grayed out" design features

Hi Kelley,

This sounds like the program has lost connection with the dongle or thinks it is busy with another process.
Make sure there are no dialog boxes or message boxes open. If not, save the design and then restart the program.

Re: Tape Block Flows Significant Higher Than SDR

Hi, The usual reasons for the differences are:- - the designed flows are based on the constant and index for the emitter and not the SDR entry. If the emitters are not pressure compensating then a higher pressure will result in a higher block flow. - the SDR entry is incorrect for the emitter spacin...

If the Error Report will not Display

Even though the ReportViewer has not changed for many years some anti-virus software appear to think that the Version 17 ReportViewer may be a trojan. We are communicating with the anti-virus software creators to have the ReportViewer executable added to their pattern files and marked as safe. In th...

Re: Error Logs don't show

Hi, The first thing to check is if the Errorlog.txt file is present in your IRRICAD folder. The location of your IRRICAD folder will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Irricad\Irricad Pro 17 for a new install or C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\Irricad Pro 16 (or similar) if you upgraded an existing versi...

Dear Hector, Yes, the area can be added to the Zone Summary report, however the field will only be populated if the zones uses an Irrigation Area. Note that Irrigation Blocks inherently contain an Irrigation Area. As there is no written help for the Report Editor it is best if we do this for you. Pl...

This sounds like the snap mode could be set to "Snap to Grid". You can check this on the bottom right of your status bar in the "Snap" panel. Note that this should be set to "Connect" mode when drawing hydraulic items.

Re: Link licence transfer

Hi Kyle, This could be occurring if BricsCAD was not installed under an Administrator log-in. In these cases the registry will not contain the information that the IRRICAD Link install requires. The method to correct for this is:- 1. Log out and then log in as Administrator. 2. Uninstall BricsCAD v1...
