Vector Text Bug

I recently upgraded from 10.0-ish to 10.58. During the upgrade process, the drawing template we use was "corrupted".
Essentially, certain uses of text in the template become corrupted somehow, and lose anchor points. What happens then is that if I zoom out on a drawing with this issue, there will be visible horizontal lines extending far off to the right and left of the drawing, and using the select area tool to select the drawing with a window that is just larger than the template may not actually select the drawing.
In it's corrupted form, if I bring the drawing into print preview, I can't select "always center drawing" because the drawing is then centered about some point (not the center of the template) that includes the corrupted anchor points. This also occurs when I use the Zoom All tool, Irricad zooms out enough to include the "invisible points".
I have found that creating a symbol of text as a seperate file, and then bringing the symbol in when building the template alleviates some of the issue. Also, exploding the template after bringing it into a drawing seems to remove the invisible corrupted anchor points. Most specifically this corrupted text appears with the symbol and pipe legends, but in other text included in the template.
Again, exploding the template seems to be a kludgy solution to this issue, but not something I can expect the office's other users to trifle with.
Additionally, I've been having an issue (perhaps an input queueing issue), where Irricad crashes when I use the move tool. Especially if the timing is tight between me pushing ctrl to turn on ortho and selecting a base point to move a selection. I've also found I can get Irricad to crash almost immediately if I zoom in and out of a drawing (mouse wheel) quite a few times in rapid succession, and then try to move something. Hard crashes too, where it asks if I want to send an error message to microsoft.
