DES 443

Hello

I am currently doing a design and am having a few blocks come up with DES 443 when performing the LP analysis. This is not a warning I have had in the past and am not sure how to solve for it. As I am asking the program to solve the sub-main sizing is it unsolvable?

Thanks

Kyle

Hi Kyle,

More information and assistance for the screen messages can be found via Help|Help Topics - Technical Reference - Screen Messages - Error Messages.

DES 443 : Upstream pressure is less than required downstream pressure
During the selection of candidate diameters used to set up the LP problem, a reverse hydraulic gradient was detected. This is most likely due to the designer specifying some hydraulic conditions (in terms of pressures and / or flows) which are impossible to meet. Things to look for include a set water supply pressure or valve pressure which is lower than the required outlet pressure (accounting for the variable flow variation), or placing outlets with widely different pressure requirements on the same lateral pipe, etc.

Also, if you have set the valve pressure in Design|Zone Design Configuration in an earlier design and then opened this design in the same IRRICAD session you may need to open Zone Design Configuration and click OK.

Regards,

The IRRICAD Team
