Double Driplines on Double Mounds on Rows

Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to draw double laterals on mounds i have at 1.2m apart, with rows at 2.4m apart?
I have attached screen shot of what i have currently, as to what i want to try and achieve.
Many Thanks,
Heath.

Hi Heath,
There isn't any automatic way to have two sets of group spacings.
One method that comes to mind would be to create a lateral that mirrors the flow and headloss of the two laterals (
viewtopic.php?t=29). Then when using this 'double' lateral line the lateral spacing would be 120cm and the group spacing would be 240cm.
Obviously, if want to display two 'laterals' on the plan you would need to include phantom ones.
Note that the "Group spacing" is the distance between the last lateral of previous group and the first lateral of the next group and not the distance between the group centers. However, if you use a 'double' lateral, as described above, then the distances on your diagram are correct because the double lateral would (probably) be placed in the center between the two red laterals.

Hi again Heath,
Here are some other techniques that could also be used:-
1. Have two blocks interleaved. The first block would contain the left laterals re your drawing from the left - lateral 1, 3, 5, 7, etc).
The 2nd block would contain the right laterals (2nd, 4th, 6th etc laterals). You would then need to use Cut Pipe for your manually placed submain and have one valve to irrigate both blocks together. In this case the lateral spacing is 120cm and the group spacing 240cm in the first block. The 2nd block would be the same but have a different start position - an offset of 30cm. If the boundaries of the block are in the same position, see the forum post
viewtopic.php?p=542#p542 on how to specify a different start location in the 'right laterals' block.
Alternatively, you could do the same with 2 laterals 30cm apart and then the group spacing as 360cm spacing, with the 2nd block starting with an offset of 90cm.
2. Draw a single block with the "Lateral Spacing" at 30cm and 2 laterals per group. Set the "Group Spacing" to 90cm (120-15-15 = 90 is the spacing between each group). Then delete every 3rd group of laterals. In IRRICAD Standalone you will need to hold down the SHIFT key to be able to delete items belonging to the block entity.
