Re: management symbol in V18.06

The issue you are seeing is that when multiple blocks are running on one valve the area displayed in the management is drawn from the extents of the blocks. This means that when the blocks are indented the hatching of the Zone may overlap with other zones. In Version 19, due out next month, the Zone...

Reasons Why Labels May Not Appear On Your Plan

The most common causes of the labels not appearing are:- - Item(s) were not selected before actioning the Create Label tool - The label type was not enabled (check box to left of label type) - "Check Label Length" is enabled however the size of the label is longer than the length of the item (latera...

Default Layer Settings for IRRICAD Link

IRRICAD layers are added to a design when a drawing is "irricad-ized". This means that layer settings are per design rather than a global setting. However, additional default layers, with preset properties, can be added into the template (DWT file) and used in IRRICAD designs. We have pre-made metri...

If UTM Zone conflicts with Existing Zone when Importing from Google Earth or KML

There are two reasons for the message: 1)This message can indicate that the design already has a UTM zone setting which is different to the data being imported from Google Earth. Note that, under these circumstances, the image and elevation data will still import however the coordinates will be inco...

Re: Object information.....??

Dear Marcio,

This seems to be a spacing issue due to the non-English languages. The column descriptions are simply offset from the units and the hydraulic information for the selected item(s).
We will look at correcting this in a future patch.

Re: Questions about the Barb factor (Kd)

Hi Marcio, The emitter barb factor (Kd) is used to calculate the headloss past the emitter and uses the formula H = Kd V² / 2g. The easiest way to determine the emitter barb factor is a manual iteration process:- - draw out several tapes (e.g., 100m , 200, 300m) - connect them to a large pipe and co...

Hi Marcio, Your symptoms still suggest that the text size is inconsistent with the scaling. In your Display Settings, please click on the link under the "100% (Recomendado)" that says "Configuraceo de escala avancadas". I have seen instances of the main screen saying one text size the 2nd dialog say...

Re: Distant image when importing kml!

Hi Marcio, Unfortunately, we haven't been able to replicate this issue over multiple computers. Please check that you are running Version 18.06. Also please check that when you draw a pipe that the 'rubberbanding' is attached to the cursor and not offset. This is a quick check that the DPI scaling i...

Re: Google Earth Importing Issue--Irricad Link V18/BricsCAD V20

Hi,

It sounds like your antivirus has quarantined the IrricadGEImport.exe . Open your Anti-virus settings and set a "trusted file" or exception/exclusion for this executable. You should be able to return the file to the IRRICAD Link folder.

Re: calculate mainline dimension

For IRRICAD to size the pipe, or do any hydraulic calculations, it requires a demand. The demand can be an outlet with nozzles or a special kind of outlet called a demand point, where you can specify the pressure and flow required at a particular location. There is a demand point available in both o...

Re: Warning IDE_DES 400

Hi, This message generally means that IRRICAD cannot open the zone design file (DZN) or the mainline design file (DML) because the file has not yet been generated by a process or it is in a Read-only state. If you are running Mainline Design when this error occurs check that you have successfully co...

Re: Slow screen refreshing

Hi, This sounds like a memory or resource issue, where the graphics card, GPU, paging on to disk, or running out of cache could be the cause. Hi, As per the Help|Help Topics - User Manual -> Advanced Topics -> Spraylines, Tapes and Minor Losses:- Minor Losses Explained Minor losses are the headlosses associated with fittings i.e. size changes, crosses, tees, elbows, take-offs etc. IRRICAD accounts for minor losses with a conservative equi...

Re: Pressure drop doesn't match manual calculation.

Hi, It is difficult to comment without seeing the design. Did you draw the pipe as a connected sprayline or as pipe and outlets (unconnected sprayline)? The first possible causes that come to mind are:- - Check the emitter constant and index - do these provide the correct flow at the specified press...
