Irricad Team,
It seems that when I zoom in with the mouse-wheel it crashes sometimes (usually a 2-5 times per day).
Cursor does the hourglass waiting icon and locks up (task manager to close out) and does not offer recovery options.
I have no idea what causes this, as far as settings I have zoom factor set at 1.5 and Reverse box checked.
I am currently on version 14.14.5, though I am pretty certain this has been going on for a couple versions now. It also happens across different computers and mice (no registry copying of settings; clean install).
I do not believe I have ever encountered the issue before the hydraulics are in place, and seems to be most prevalent towards the latter-half of finishing a project. Also I want to say it happens while I am zooming in a little hastily with 4 or so zoom scale factors, i.e. I don't think it has ever happened when I am trying to zoom in real slowly or just a little bit. I assume this happens to everyone once in awhile, however it does seem to be happening more often lately with ver14.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Mouse-wheel issue
Hi Mike,
One thought is it could be the number of GDI handles being hung onto in the IRRICAD session on your machine. If this is the case restarting IRRICAD periodically would help. This will be fixed in the next patch due out shortly.
However it could be something else as the error report does not instantly appear. Can you try moving the IRRICAD window after it has crashed to see if there is another dialog waiting behind it?
Note the Error Report function requires an installed email program.

Re: Mouse-wheel issue
Jo,
Thanks for the suggestion, I will try closing out Irricad between projects and see if it helps out.
I have not seen a report behind the Irricad window with this particular error, though it is not
possible to move the irricad window or minimize it any way.
Thanks,
Mike
