50. HOW TO EXTRACT FILES FROM ZIP (ARCHIVE) FILES

Post by jovivier »

Sometimes we make a file available for download as a .zip file, or we may send you a .zip file. Please see below for instructions on how to extract the files.

A downloaded zip file:-
1. Some web browsers automatically download the file into your computer’s Downloads folder. To access this in Windows 7 click the Start button and then in the menu click on your personal folder (top right).

2. In your Personal folder open the Downloads folder.
3. Double-click on the file – this will open it in a new window. You will see the files contained within the archive.
4. At the top of the Window click on “Extract All Files”. Browse to the installed Irricad folder, commonly located in C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\Irricad Pro 14.

An emailed zip file:-
1. Save the zip file from the email to your hard-drive.
2. Browse to the folder where the zip file was saved. Double-click on the file – this will open it in a new window. You will see the files contained within the archive.
3. At the top of the Window click on “Extract All Files”. Browse to the installed Irricad folder, commonly located in C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\Irricad Pro 14.
