When I create a symbol it doesn't save it in the symbols/database folder. The first symbol created has a file in this folder but all subsequent symbols aren't.
I have a drawing that I created all of the symbols in. I am going through selecting one symbol at a time and using the create symbol tool. After creating the 2nd symbol I can't find the file to place it in other drawings.

Re: Symbols
I discovered that the symbol name cannot contain certain characters. For example, I was using the name 3" control valve and the inch symbol (") was the issue. Although, the symbol would be loaded within the drawing the file was not being created.

Hi
Yes as you have found certain keyboard characters are not permitted in Windows filenames (<, >, :, ", /, \, |, ?, *) and so a symbol containing any of these cannot be saved to a file with the same name as the symbol.
