Importing data from excel to Irricad database...

Post by Pancho »

Hello, would you help me?
I have a lot of data in excel and I want to export this information to Irricad database, how can I do it?
Can I open the Irricad database with Microsoft Access?
I installed Irricad version 16.06

Thank you.

Hello,

This is certainly possible using the Query tab in the database editor, but depending on the type of component data you wish to import, you may need some knowledge of how the database is structured in order to make it work.

You can open the database in Access but there are a couple of potential problems there:
  • A lot of our databases are in Access 97 format. If you don't have Access 2010 or earlier, you won't be able to open such files.
  • As above, direct editing in Access requires an understanding of how the database works and we don't usually recommend it.
If you would like to email your Excel data to support [at] irricad [dot] com, we would be pleased to advise you on the best way to proceed.

Regards,

Dan
