If receive message "Could Not Interpolate Elevations"

Post by jovivier »

This message is caused by the required file "Surgef.exe" not being present or not being able to run on your computer.
Surgef is used for the ABOS method D.E.M. Option. Read below for the common causes and fixes.

Alternatively, the AEI Method can be used until the Surgef issue is rectified. To do this go to Design|Design Parameters|Analysis Parameters and under D.E.M. Options select the AEI Method. Note that this method is more suitable for situations where there are only spot heights or contours present along a pipeline and it has a limit of 32,750 segments or spot heights.

IRRICAD Standalone
In Standalone this is likely caused by the Surgef.exe being quarantined by your anti-virus software. See our forum post for the steps on how to solve this- How to add a Surgef exception to your antivirus client (http://www.irricad.com/phpbb3/viewtopic ... t=250#p506).

If you can’t get the executable back from quarantine then you can download it from http://www.irricad.com/irricad/download/Temp/surgef.zip . Save the file to your hard-drive and extract it to your IRRICAD folder, commonly located in C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\Irricad Pro xx.

IRRICAD Link
In IRRICAD Link this may be caused by your computer having an issue with the 64-bit Surgef executable.
1. Browse to the installed Irricad Link folder, commonly located in C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link… and locate the Surgef.exe file.
2. Right-click on Surgef.exe and select “Properties”. Select the “Compatibility” tab and enable “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and set it Windows 7.

If this does not help download the 32-bit Surgef.exe from http://www.irricad.com/irricad/download/Temp/surgef.zip . Save the file to your hard-drive and extract the contents to overwrite the file in your installed Irricad Link folder.
