Re: Import from google earth
Hi,
Google Maps may have inconsistent resolution for different areas, which is out of our control. In general, for the USA it is usually pretty good.
Note that in IRRICAD Version 17 you have some control over the resolution of the imported image, though this of course is based on the original resolution provided by Google. In the Import from Google Earth utility select "Standard", "Medium" or "Large" imagery.
I trust this helps.

Re: Import from google earth
Good afternoon, I need to import from Google Earth and thus take heights, but when trying to make the box and import the selection to Irricad I get the following message ... ERROR IN THE REMOTE SERVER; (403) PROHIBITED. I want to emphasize that some time ago it was possible to do it. Thank you.

Re: Import from google earth
Depending on when you last used the utility successfully and what version of IRRICAD you are using, there have been some changes behind the scenes.
If you are using IRRICAD Version 14 - 17 follow the forum posts:-
- New Irricad Google Earth Import Utility - https://www.irricad.com/phpbb3/viewtopi ... 1148#p1148 (although the post is quite old the download link is for the version released in 2018).
and
- How To Acquire a Google Maps API Key - https://www.irricad.com/phpbb3/viewtopi ... 1418#p1418 - this step is now imperative before Importing from Google Earth will now work.
If you are using Version 18, then in the Import From Google Earth window right-click on the top bar (where is says "Import from Google Earth) and select "Show DevTools". The "Console" tab will list any errors. If there are none listed then check the "network" tab for information on where the error might be occurring. If you require assistance copy the information from the "Console" tab and paste it into an email and send to Support@IRRICAD.com .
