Scope in BOM

Post by jbaselga »

Hi to all,

I am having some BOM problems with the scope selected in pipes and others. For instance, when you select the scope of calculation to "Design Only" for some pipes you do not want to appear in the BOM file, this order is kept in memory and if you create a new pipe, it will be created in the scope of "Design Only".
Is there any way that Irricad gives you a warning that materials are "Design Only" or "Visual Only"???. That way you can make sure the scope of the material is what you wanted them to be.

Best regards

Hi Javier,

In general, Irricad dialogs are designed to retain the last settings you used, as with most entities it is common to want to repeat the last thing you did. In this regard, Irricad will not give any specific warnings about Object Scope. Scope is considered in design processes obviously. So, for example, the Connectivity Check will highlight outlets 'connected' with BOM Only or Visual Only pipe as unconnected. Scope for these pipes can then easily be corrected using Change Type.

In general, you can use Change Type to change (or correct!) the scope of lots of pipes at once.

Dan
