The most common causes of the labels not appearing are:-
- Item(s) were not selected before actioning the Create Label tool
- The label type was not enabled (check box to left of label type)
- "Check Label Length" is enabled however the size of the label is longer than the length of the item (laterals, pipes, and wires only).
- The label layer isn’t turned on.
- Use of label sets – make sure the correct Use Label Set option matches the label set you are using. Located at the bottom of the main Label dialog.
- Labels cannot be annotative. The labels may not be displaying because of the Multileader style settings. The label tool currently uses the "Current" style. If this style is annotative then it will not display.
In BricsCAD go to Tools|Drawing Explorer|Multileader Styles. Either click the three-legged triangle symbol to turn off "Annotative" or set the “Standard” Multileader style to be the current one.
In AutoCAD go to Format|Multileader Style. Highlight the style and click [Modify]. Set the correct “Standard” Multileader style to be the current one or go to the "Leader Structure" tab to turn off "Annotative".
Now create your labels.
Note that Update Labels will only work when the label is already present.
