I have a problem with duplicate zone names. I deleted and recreated a couple of tape block entities and the system renumbered the zones from 1 again. I have renamed the areas but when I try to assign zones to system flows I keep getting an error message stating that I have names used twice.
Is there any way to get around this?
Thanks for your help.
Cheers, Steve

Re: Duplicate zone names
The automatic Zone or Area numbering is consecutive, regardless of deletions, unless it is reset in Settings|Names or the ~~~ marks have been removed.
When irrigation blocks are created, with the valve placement, the Area Name and Valve Name are the same. If the valves are manually placed onto each Irrigation block this could explain different names and possible duplicates if some were manually altered.
Typically zone name(s) used more than once will be given in the warning message. An easier way to see duplicate names is in one of the management tables, for example Design|Other Managament Options|Assign System Flows to Zones.
You will need to change one of the duplicate names on the plan. For block entities you will need to change the valve Zone Name. To aid in finding where these zones are located on the plan use Settings|Labels for Control Valves - the #NAME# keyword is the default.

Re: Duplicate zone names
Hi.
I created 8 zones but the automatic numbering duplicates the names and I had to undo the irrigation block and put the area number manually most of the time to fix it. I allways have to check "Settings/Names" every time whan I create an irrigation block and change the area number manualluy when I see the same number. Am I doing something wrong?, what should I do?

Re: Duplicate zone names
Hola Pancho. Saludos.
