Automatic selction of fittings - junction with 3 sizes

Post by aridzv »

Hi.
I have a PE submain line that on one junction it change its size from 75 to 63 and the lateral pipe is PE 25 - see 2 attached screenshots.
I need to get in the fittings selection this combination (both item exists in the database):
1. saddle DN75 with threaded offtake 1".
2. PE reducer 75-63.

is it possible to get it done?
thanks,
Ari.

IRRICAD is going to want to select the cheapest combination of fitting to solve a junction.
The most likely cause of IRRICAD failing to find a result is often due to:-
- incorrect connection genders
- incorrect connection codes if multiple items are required between the largest and the smallest item.

When IRRICAD is looking for tees, it first searches the LTO database. If a solution cannot be found then IRRICAD moves on to the Tee database.

The cheapest option in this case would likely be a 75mm-25mm saddle with a 75mm-63mm reducer and a 25mm connector. Check the gender and connection codes of all items in the order they will connect together.

If the saddle is not available or for some reason is the more expensive option then IRRICAD will try and select the cheapest 75mm tee, which would usually be a reducing tee if available, to try and minimise costs and the number of fittings at the junction.

Tip: add a short piece of each pipe size to the Couplers group for cases where two fittings need to connect but require a piece of pipe between them (for example a female tee and a female reducer will require a male piece of pipe). IRRICAD will not search the pipe database during Computer Selection of Fittings.

The notes about how IRRICAD solves junctions can be found in Help|Help Topics - Technical Reference -> Appendix G: Fitting Selection Details.
