If Link V20 Database looks for VCS symbols instead of DWG Symbols

Post by jovivier »

In IRRICAD Link Version 20 you may find that when selecting a symbol for use with a database component that IRRICAD is only looking for VCS symbol files rather than DWG symbol (block) files.

To remedy this situation follow the below steps.

For AutoCAD:
1. Download https://www.irricad.com/irricad/downloa ... utoCAD.zip.
2. Save the zip file into your installed IRRICAD Link Database folder, commonly located at C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link AutoCAD\Database.
3. Double-click on the zip file to open it and then drag the Irribase.exe out of the zip file into the folder.
4. When asked if you wish to overwrite the existing Irribase executable click [Yes].

For BricsCAD:
1. Download https://www.irricad.com/irricad/downloa ... icsCAD.zip.
2. Save the zip file into your installed IRRICAD Link Database folder, commonly located at C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link BricsCAD\Database.
3. Double-click on the zip file to open it and then drag the Irribase.exe out of the zip file into the folder.
4. When asked if you wish to overwrite the existing Irribase executable click [Yes].
