If your IRRICAD Standalone Database Editor gives a "Data source name not found and no default driver specified" message but IRRICAD itself does not then the MS Access 32bit driver has somehow been removed.
To fix please follow the below steps:-
1. Browse to your installed IRRICAD \Database folder, commonly located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Irricad\Irricad Pro 21\Database.
2. Right-click on the FixAccessDatabaseEngine.bat file and select “Run as Administrator”.
Note that if a "Access Denied" message is received you will need to run the command prompt under As Administrator.
a. Browse to C:\Windows\SysWow64 and right-click on CMD.exe and select “Run as Administrator”. (Or in the Search field type CMD and then right-click on the CMD.exe and select “Run as Administrator”).
b. Change the folder to the DBSupport folder in the installed IRRICAD folder, e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Irricad\Irricad Pro 21\Database.
In the command prompt type in cd C:\ <enter>
cd program files (x86)<enter>
cd irricad<enter>
cd Irricad Pro 21<enter>
cd Database<enter>
c. Then type FixIRRICAD32DBS and press enter.
Hopefully you should see a “this was run successfully…” message.
3. Then type FixAccessDatabaseEngine and press enter.
Hopefully you should see a “this was run successfully…” message.
If you are running Office 2010 then unfortunately, future Microsoft Updates will probably ‘break’ it again. The long term solution is to upgrade from Office 2010.
Note that if you are running IRRICAD Link and not IRRICAD Standalone the see the forum post viewtopic.php?t=599
