IrriCAD Link V21 - Civil 3D 2023 on Windows 11

Post by Pancho »

Hello.

I have just migrated from Windows 10 to Windows 11, but the IrriCAD Link commands in Civil 3D 2023 are not recognized. My PC was not reformatted. How can this problem be fixed quickly and easily, or do I need to reinstall IrriCAD Link?
I can see the IrriCAD Link icons, but they do not work either.

Thank you.

Hi Pancho,

Although nothing should change when upgrading to Windows 11, the newer operating system may have deleted some older system files that IRRICAD Link uses. To ensure all required system files are available re-install IRRICAD Link.

Hello.

I've already reinstalled IrriCAD Link twice, but it didn't work. I also tried repairing IrriCAD option, but it shows an error message that it can't find a file to proceed with the repair.

Thank you.

Hello.
I will proceed to reinstall Civil 3D 2023 and IrriCAD Link V21. Please confirm whether I should install the 2023 version of Civil 3D or if I can upgrade to Civil 3D 2024.

Thank you.

Hi Pancho,

Did you check through the steps as per the forum post "How to run IRRICAD Link inside AutoCAD Civil 3D" (viewtopic.php?p=1367#p1367) to make sure all the settings were still set? I would try this before re-installing C3D.
No, IRRICAD Link V21 will not run on AutoCAD 2024, only on 2022 and 2023. Our next Link release will be able to run on 2024.

To re-install IRRICAD Link correctly, un-install IRRICAD Link and remove the IRRICAD Profile from the registry in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk - look for C3D and under the "Profile" key highlight and remove the "Irricad" profile.

1. Ensure your user login has administrator rights.
2. Run C3D 2023.
3. Install IRRICAD Link V21 for ACAD 2023.
4. Run through the forum post "How to run IRRICAD Link inside AutoCAD Civil 3D" (viewtopic.php?p=1367#p1367) to complete the setup of IRRICAD under in the C3D environment.

Hello again.
The IrriCAD Link is already running fine; the issue was that the Civil 3D icon with the shortcut was accidentally deleted. The steps you gave me were followed again.

Thank you.
