Docking Tips for the Object Info Panel in BricsCAD

Post by jovivier »

The persistent docking panel, introduced in IRRICAD Link Version 22, allowing hydraulic and other information to be quickly viewed for a single selected item.
Like the “Database Info” panel, this panel can be docked in a multi-tabbed container in BricsCAD, to save space.

Note that, although you can dock the “Object Info panel” to the Properties panel, due the horizontal layout of the Object Info panel we recommend docking it to the Command Line panel. There are no horizontal scroll bars on the panel.

To do this, click on the panel’s “….” (note these may be on the side) and drag over the Command Line panel. When the centre shows blue, release the mouse.

This process can also be used to dock the “Database Info” panel, to either the Command Line panel or the Properties panel.

The size of the text used in the Object Info panel and the main Object Info window is controlled vis registry keys. See our post “Changing text size in Object Info” (viewtopic.php?p=2816#p2816).
