Hello.
I'm new to the form, I hope I'm asking this question correctly
Is there a tutorial with instructions on how I can create my own custom reports?
I have already managed to edit some existing reports, but I intend to create my own reports.

Re: create reports
Hi JP,
We don't have any tutorials I'm afraid. The report writer is quite complex conceptually, and as not very many users do a great deal of report customisation, we usually offer to create reports for them, as time allows.
That said, we usually recommend using an existing report as a basis for creating new ones. Feel free to explore and ask any more specific questions here. The basic way to think of the reporting is that every report record contains all the fields that can be reported. The report template controls how these records are sorted and filtered to display the necessary information in the desired way.
You may find the attached file of some limited use - it is the help for the third party report component that we use. It is actually a CHM file, so after downloading it, rename it to "Rep8.chm" before you open it.

Re: create reports
Good afternoon.
Regarding the travel time report, the areas irrigated with drip tubes have very irregular shapes here in our region in Brazil, and calculating the travel time is a challenge. Since the travel time in our region is mostly related to the length of the drip lines, it is not feasible to use the report models currently available.
We did some tests and I believe I found a solution for our projects, but I don't know how to change the report. Instead of using the longest time of the drip lines (this can be a problem in very short lines with low-flow pipe sections), I thought about using the average travel time of each valve in the report. This time seems to be very close to our reality.
The "Travel Time Summary Report" is very good, but it would be much better to use the average travel time of the drip lines for each valve.
The "Zone Travel Time Report" seems to have all the information needed to obtain the average. I did a test in Excel with the averages and it came out very well. Now I have the challenge of creating the report.
In the past (2012) I did a training course at Netafim on how to edit/improve some reports, but I don't remember or learn enough to do it alone, I need your help.
It would be a great help to make this improvement to the report.
Thank you

Re: create reports
Hi JP,
This should be a relatively easy change that we can do for you. As you may be aware, report customizations are not included in priority support and will be undertaken when time allows. As we are currently in the final processes of the IRRICAD Link V22 production we will only be able to make the changes once this has been released, within a few weeks.

Re: create reports
Hi JP,
I have edited the report for you so that the "Lateral Travel Time" and "InField Travel Time" is now the average instead of the maximum.
Download the file and save to your local drive. Double-click on the Zip file to open it.
Then drag the "Travel Time Summary Average.FPC" file into your IRRICAD \Reports folder.
Restart IRRICAD to see the "Travel Time Summary Average" report in the Zone Reports list.

Re: create reports
Good morning.
Thank you for posting the report.
I just have one question: what I really need is for the average time to be set only on the drip lines. For the rest of the piping, the times should remain at the maximum time.
In other words, only the emitter lines should have the average time; the rest remains as is.
Can you confirm, please?

Re: create reports
Hi JP,
I can set the custom report to only report on driplines and not report on other types of zones.
As this custom report does not overwrite the default Travel Time Summary you can use the default report for the other types of zones.
To create a report that combines driplines using "average time" and spraylines or other pipes using "maximum time" requires additional development effort. We offer free customisations when changes are quick or broadly beneficial to other users. However, as this request appears to be specific and not widely applicable, a customisation fee would apply.

Re: create reports
Good morning.
How much would this fee be?
I'm not sure I explained it clearly, but I'll try again.
The entire report would be like the old one, using the maximum times, except for the drip lines, where the time would be the average of all the drip lines.
The report will report all other times, just like the old model. The only difference is that the column for dripper advance time will use the average of the drip lines.
Only "Infield Travel Time" should be the average, and "Lateral Travel Time" should be the maximum value, just like the previous version.
I'll send an image to try to make it clearer.
