I am working with another designer and want to send Irricad files back and forth. How do I download and import them so they can be read and manipulated? The typical error message is that the file path is not found. Any help would be great.
Thanks,

Re: Opening Irricad files
Hi John,
An Irricad design is made up of many files - the three most important ones are the IrricadDesign.vcd, IrricadDesign.mdb and IrricadDesign.des files.
To share designs, make sure you are sending ALL of the files name IrricadDesign.xxx, where xxx is any file extension.
Regards,
Dan

Re: Opening Irricad files
Thank you, sir. I had been wondering the same thing myself.
So if I understand you correctly, Irricad uses multiple files during the design process. When a designer wants to send a file to another designer he must go in and copy out all of the supporting files.
Then the designer who is receiving the files must then copy all of the files that were sent to him, and then copy those files into a folder that he designates. Then he can open the main file, and it works, because all of the other supporting files are in place.
Do I have a fairly firm grasp on that situation?
Thanks.
John

Hi John,
You are correct, though the three files I mentioned in my first reply are the important ones. You should be able to regenerate the others from those.

Dan
