Was wondering how hard it would be to program into the software that the following two scenarios can't happen:
1. If you are drawing a pipe designated "ZONE PIPE", it will not allow you to connect to a pipe designated "MAIN PIPE". Either connecting by starting from or ending on.
2.If you are drawing a main pipe designated "MAIN PIPE", it will not allow you to connect to a pipe designated "ZONE PIPE". Either connecting by starting from or ending on.
I know this would get rid of a lot of issues people may have with errors when they have used the wrong pipe.

Re: Zone Pipe/Mainline Pipe
Thank you for your suggestion Gennaro.
The program already does not allow connections between zone and mainline items -it only places them. However, I have requested that the program tell us it cannot connect the two items with a screen message.

Re: Zone Pipe/Mainline Pipe
I know what you mean, but if it doesn't snap, then you can't see that its not connected. Code, should force the pipe/item to connect via snap, then run a quick cross check to see pipe types and/or hyd item type and if not compatible, warning or, unsnap to last command. Sounds like we are both saying the same thing, so sounds great when it happens.
