Pipe Crossing Hop
I think a pipe hop for pipes that are not connected, would be a great feature in Irricad. ie, when a main pipe crosses a zone pipe, they are not connected, so Irricad would do a hop. This feature could be both auto (small hop) and manual (for a larger hop, if you are crossing multiple pipes and you don't want 4 or 5 small hops).

Re: Pipe Crossing Hop
What a great idea Gennaro. This in my opinion is a must have tool/feature. This would help considerably in the reading and interpretation of those plans which carry a lot of cluttered information in confined areas ie general landscape/streetscapes etc.

Re: Pipe Crossing Hop
I also agree, this feature alone could likely cause me my to drop my Autocad and turf design module in favor of Irricad. Currently I have been using symbols to replicate the pipe hops however it is quite time consuming.
Another turf related idea though likely more difficult to implement is a densogram placed right into the sprinkler coverage area. I have seen this utilized within some other programs with some good success. Maybe somehow get the already developed data from Nelson's Overlap and CIT's Space data incorporated into Irricad?

Great idea, Gennaro!
That would also simplify a lot of things for me.
What about it, Irricad? (I know, you just released a new version, and we want more....but hey, that keeps you on your toes.)
Btw, I have like V11, so far.

Re: Pipe Crossing Hop
Hi Irricad Devlopers.
Has any progress been made on this great idea? It is a time consuming exercise to manually create the pipe hop's not to mention if you have a large number of them on a zone or mainline all with 6 or more junctions you add losses to the system which does reflect the true duty of the zone or pump station. I see there does not seem to be a reply so i guess it is in the too hard basket? Do you have a suggestion that we could use to complete this task easily?
Thanks.

Re: Pipe Crossing Hop
This is very difficult to do and no progress has been made.
One way you could do this manually is create a symbol for the different pipe hops/orientation and place these over the crossings.
