G'day,
I'm a huge fan of the selection filter and I use it all the time.
Now that we have the layer manager, I think it would be nice if the selection filter can be embedded into that. Something like just clicking on the layer name in the layer manager would turn on/off the filter for that particular layer.

Re: Selection Filter Modification
Hi Kosi,
Remember that the layer bar can be used to filter what is available on the screen. You can:
- right-click on a layer and then select the "Select Layer Entities" or "Move Selection to Layer" option
- drag your mouse down the left-hand column of the layer bar to select groups of layers to turn off in one go by simply unchecking one of the check boxes in the selection
- you can turn all layers off by clicking the eye icon at the top of the "view" column and then unchecking one of the check boxes. Then turn on the one layer you may be interested in (remember to click outside the selection first to remove the highlight before turning on the one layer you wish to have on).
The layer bar may get a bit cluttered or confusing if we add the selection filter to the layer bar. Then we could only filter on layers rather than the other groups or types we can currently filter on.
Remember the Selection Filter also has a quick access on the far right-hand box of the status bar as well as being accessed from the Settings menu.

Re: Selection Filter Modification
Thanks.
But I still think it would even be quicker if we could do a single click on the layer manager thus enabling a 1 click selection filter...
Selecting the entities, will select all items on that layer when in some cases you only want to select some of the items from that layer with ease.
