Windows configuring when using hyraulic gradline

Post by atlaing »

I have just upgraded to Irricad V11 and installed the latest patch. When I use the hydraulic gradline function to have a look at mainline/submain head loss chart I get a windows pop up saying it has to configure the system, it takes about 2 minutes (it seems forever) to get the head loss/pipe friction chart. I rebooted the system after I installed the last patch.

Hi,

It sounds like IRRICAD did not install properly, maybe due to a virus checker interfering with the installation. Were you able to run IRRICAD V11 successfully before upgrading without Windows configuring?
If you were able to run V11 without issue, you can simply uninstall the 11.06 patch in the control panel; the "View Installed Updates" option under Windows 7 or "Show Updates" under XP. Then re-install the patch.

If you cannot successfully run V11 without Windows configuring, uninstall V11 also, and turn off your virus checker temporarily while installing V11 and the V11.06 patch.
Also note you will need to have administrator privileges to install IRRICAD successfully.
If you are still having issues, please let us know.

Regards,

Jo
