manually sizing multiple zone pipes

Post by aquacg »

How do I manually size a drip tape zone pipe into multiple sizes? Then is it best to 'analyze' only? I am currently doing LP or Velocity design and setting it as 'computer selected' and limiting the options to the 3 sizes I want to use in the database. This works, however, I would like to be able to manually say where to start with one size and stop with another size. Thanks for any help.

I am not quite sure what you mean. Are you saying that after getting the submain sizes with LP or Velocity Design you then want to change some pipe sizes so that sizes start and stop where you want?
You can do this by:-
- manually changing the pipes you want to change (double-click on the pipe to change while in Select Object mode).
- use Cut Pipe to re-draw the submain in the sizes you prefer. Cut Pipe will connect to every zone item it crosses (delete any existing submain first).
- use Tools|Move Sizes to change where a pipe currently ends.

Then Analyze the changes (do not LP or Velocity Design as this can potentially change the other pipes if they are still enabled for "Computer Sized".
