The later versions of IRRICAD are compatible with Windows 8 and are easily installed in the same way as for Windows 7. See the installation information http://www.irricad.com/irricadpro/irric ... pgrades/66 .
However accessing the "Upgrade Dongle" utility is a little different as there is no Start | All Programs menu in Windows 8.
To activate or upgrade your dongle on a Windows 8 machine:
A) Press the Windows key on the keyboard or screen then swipe to find the Upgrade Dongle program and click on the tile.
or
B) Press the Windows key on the keyboard or screen then swipe the right-hand-side and select Search. Start typing in "Upgrade Dongle" and when it appears in the list click on the program to run it.
or
C) Browse for the IRRICAD folder (commonly located in C:\Drive\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\Irricad Pro 13) and open the "config" folder. Locate the FieldExUtil.exe and double click on it to open the dialog.
Note that option C) can be used on any operating system.
Then follow the normal instructions regarding getting a locking code.
