Lines appearing on PDF printout

Post by Damian Cullen »

Hi,

I have noticed a bug when I PDF a drawing via my Adobe software (not via the in-built exporter). A line appears on the printed pdf, but it cannot be seen on the actual design nor the 'window' in the print screen.

I have attached an image of the drawing to illustrate the line. It is the line(s) that go from top to bottom of page.

I feel this may have something to do with the fills I have used in creating the sprinkler symbols, but not entirely certain. Hoping you can assist.

I use version 12.12 on Windows 7 Professional

Regards, Damian.

Hi Damian,

It's difficult to say what might be the cause here. Do the lines appear on an actual print out? Are they visible on the Irricad print preview? How about in the Irricad PDF? Or the output of a different PDF printer (e.g. Bullzip)?

Dan,

the lines only appear on the actual print-out; they do not appear on in the Irricad print preview. I use Adobe Pro CS6 to pdf my drawings. I have also tried the Irricad pdf, which actually removes the lines, but 3/4 of the actual drawing will be missing (this is a separate issue).

The reason I believe it may be the sprinkler symbol is because when I use a certain sprinkler, the lines appear on that drawing. It is quite hit & miss & I cannot target the problem.

I hope this helps Dan.

Damian
