Hello,

Without seeing your design and database we can only comment in general.

The first tip is to make sure that your Coupler component group contains pieces of plain PVC pipe. In the master IRRICAD database these are called "PVC plain male coupler" with all sizes. (You can use Edit|Copy Component and Edit|Paste Component to copy these in to your database). This allows the female tee/saddle end to connect to a piece of PVC pipe and then find the coupler that will connect the PVC pipe to HPD pipe, which you will also need to have present in Couplers group.

In reality in your case, you physically will not require the extra piece of PVC pipe but due to tees only having two sizes and not three IRRICAD requires this to be able to select the fittings for you.

If you are still having an issue with IRRICAD not selecting your required fittings you can send a design containing the problem junction and your database either to your local support team or to Support@IRRICAD.com.

hello Jovivier,

thank you for your answer, actually it is not project ,now i am preparing all fittings and doing the tests for the very soon comming projects .

Actually the situation is the follwoing:

the mainline pipe is PVC 110mm , i need to take from the mainline one connection PEHD 75mm.

when i do computer selecting fittings it gives me error selecting. but when i change the size of PE pipe from 75mm to 40mm or 50 or 32 the computer gives right fittings selection which is saddle 110mm/2" and then PE male adaptor 50mm-2" or saddle 110/1"1/2 and then PE male adaptor 40/1"1/2...

the question why with the pipe PE 75mm is not working but with the other PE pipes sizes is working.

in the report i noticed that with the PE pipe 75mm the mainline is divided into 2 partes one side is PVC MS 110 and the other side is HDP MS.

in the other PE pipe sizes the PVC pipe stay correct both sides are PVC 110 MS.

How can i send you the tests and the reports to good understanding the situation.

Merci

Hi Nathan,

It sounds like your 75mm coupler may have the incorrect fitting code or gender. You are welcome to send us your database to look at. Email Support@IRRICAD.com . Note that you may need to zip up your database to send it through email.

See image attached, got tapes from submain, out of above 8000 junction (lateral and submain), there are only 8 junction not able to pick right take off connectors, instead getting 50mm pvc elbows

What could be the problem?

Hi Davie,

When the lateral is on the end of a submain (where there is no submain stub beyond the end laterals) IRRICAD will look for a bend/elbow to connect the submain to the lateral.

To fix this, there are two solutions:-
1. Enter or enable the required fittings to go from the 50mm submain to the required elbow for the lateral
or
2. Enter a "Stub Length" in the Irrigation Block "Block" tab for the "Submain Properties" (or when adding a manual sumain, draw the submain past the end laterals).

I trust this helps.
