Object images in GE

Where do the images for things like valves/assemblies come from when a design is opened in Google Earth? Are they customizable?

The images come from our web server and they cannot currently be easily customised.
In theory, you could save a KML file from Irricad and change the style file references to point at your own style file / images, but that requires a fair bit of work and background knowledge.
