Importing DWG DXF issue

Hi,
I’m trying to import DWG and DXF files into Irricad software. According to the Irricad guidelines, AutoCAD drawings should be saved to an older version, such as R14. This method initially worked, but now, when I try to import the same drawings, I only get a blank screen without any error message. There has been no change in the layer settings, all layers are turned on, and some of these drawings contain no blocks. I have tried to resolve the issue myself, but it has consumed a lot of time. Could you please advise on the solution?
Best regards,

This sounds like the common issue of having an origin point, or some other data, far away from the main drawing.
An easy way to find the main drawing is to:-
1. Turn off all of the layers except for one of the imported layers. (Note that a green icon to the left of the layer name depicts the layer has data).
2. Then Zoom All.
3. Once you have found some of the drawing items you can turn on all layers.
4. Zoom out a little so you can see all of the required drawing (don't use Zoom All as you will be back in the original state).
5. Now draw a Modify|Select|Lasso around the required drawing.
6. Now action Modify|Invert Selection. This will de-select the drawing and select the far-off or unseen items.
7. Press [Delete] on the keyboard to remove the far-off or unseen items.
8. Now run File|Compress to re-calculate the centre of your design.
If the issue persists please send your DWG / DXF file to your local IRRICAD Support Team.

Dear IrriCAD Team,
Thank you for your email. Below is a summary of my findings regarding the DXF/DWG import issue, along with a brief note about our licensing objectives:
1- DWG/DXF Settings: The configuration matches the screenshot you provided.
2- Test File Creation: I created a simple outline drawing and saved it as a DXF 2007 file, but the screen remains blank with no layers appearing.
3- Display Adjustments: I changed the screen color and used Zoom All, but the issue persists.
4- Error Check: I verified for any hidden error messages—none were found.
5- File Comparison:I tried to import many files, only one DWG file imported correctly which it has more details than DXF file mentioned above. I compared its layer settings with my test files, and they are identical. I’m happy to share this file via email if needed.
6-License Upgrade Context:
For the purpose of upgrading to the new license, we must master the current IrriCAD software. The program has reached its full potential through years of experience, yet we estimate our current proficiency at no more than 65%. The primary reason we selected IrriCAD is to design dripping systems for large-scale farms that landscape-specific irrigation software cannot handle. Additionally, we have future plans to upgrade the program
Please let me know how we can resolve the import issue. I’m happy to provide additional details or test files.
Best regards,

Dear Madam
Thank you for the help—it works great, even with complex drawings.
I'll switch back to the English language setting.
Best,
Nawar

The issue is caused by the DXF and DWG files being in a folder which had a name in Arabic Script. The regional "language for non-Unicode programs" needed to be changed from English to Arabic. After this change, the DXF and DWG files could be successfully imported from the folder.
Although unverified at this stage, the root cause of the issue could have been that the operating system was an English Windows installation. This would explain why the "language for non-Unicode programs" was English rather than Arabic.
