Hi ya'll,

In reading the Irricad Database Editor manual (Utilities Menu), i learned that i can get help calculating these constants (K,n,C) by using the Curve Fit+Ctrl+T bar. So, after entering all my numbers into the minumun cells required, the data came out looking like the attachment. I'm sorry if this is a "cornball" question but-which values do i use when plugging in the K,n,C values for my control valves in the database?(Attachment#2) The values from the CALCULATED column, or the values from the CURRENT column? Any help would be so much appreciated!!

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Samantha,

The first thing I notice is that you have selected imperial gallons per minute for your flow. Your data is probably in US gpm (please check the technical data you are using) and ensure you have set the flow and pressure units to those on the chart.

Secondly, if you are creating a new item then the "current" constant and index will be that of the item the cursor was sitting on when you selected New Item - the existing item's data is copied into the new item (very handy when creating similar items). When you have the item dialog open the arrow between Calculated and Current will be green. Click this to update the current with the calculated information you have from the technical specification for your new item.

Regards,

Jo
