Access compatibility

Hi all,

I was wondering what is the latest MS Access that can be used in conjunction with Irribase ver. 11?
Is it still 2007? I am planning to upgrade to Irricad ver.13 soon if that makes a difference regarding the database compatibility. Currently Openoffice Base works alright, but also have Access 2013 and would prefer to use that if possible as I am slightly more familiar with it.

I have always kept just one Irricad database rather then going the multiple database route for different scenarios (clients, system types, etc.) as some designers do. But modifying usage codes constantly is rather time intensive, so I thought I would try other methods to make the repetitive changes. If anyone
has any suggestions, or if there is something upcoming in a future release I am certainly interested!

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

The best way is to use the Query tab in the Database Editor so you don't need to worry about Access compatibility. IRRICAD comes with some pre-set queries, which can be used to view or update various database tables. For users of the current version we will typically prepare simple queries for them.

If you do use Access make sure to use Access 2007 or older.
