If Desktop shortcut gives message "item/shortcut has been deleted"

Updates to your anti-virus program could be falsely detecting the IRRICAD executable "Winicad.exe" as a possible risk. Make sure that you have the latest anti-virus definition files so that Version 16 is a known trusted application.

If you have the latest definition files and the issue still occurs, open your anti-virus program and set an exception/exclusion or trusted application for the Winicad.exe in the installed IRRICAD folder, commonly located in C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\Irricad Pro 16.

Often you can see the Winicad.exe under quarantine. Typically you can right-click on the file and return it to the correct folder. If not, download the missing executable from:
- for Version 16.06 (the latest patch) - http://www.irricad.com/irricad/download ... ad1606.zip
- for Version 16.04 (the v16 release) - http://www.irricad.com/irricad/download ... ad1604.zip
Save the zip file to your hard-drive and extract the executable to the IRRICAD folder.

Note that if you are using Symantec the exclusion procedure on an individual computer is typically:-
  1. Start Symantec AntiVirus
  2. Click "Change Settings"
  3. Next to Exceptions click "Configure Settings"
  4. Click "Add/Security Risk Exception – Select file, folder or exceptions"
  5. Path to the desired program
  6. Click OK
