Google Earth Importing Issue--Irricad Link V18/BricsCAD V20

Post by NPatrickH »

Good afternoon.

When I try to "Import From Google Earth" into Link V18-BricsCAD V20, I receive the following error message:
File 1 Could Not Be Opened.JPG
Looking in the "Irricad Link BricsCAD" folder in my C drive, I see the file name "IrricadGEImport.exe.config" as below:
Import EXE CONFIG.JPG
"IrricadGEImport.exe" is not available. I do not want to delete the ".config" type modifier for fear of corrupting the file. I just downloaded the latest Irricad Link v18/BricsCAD v20 patch today, bringing me up to version 18.09, in an attempt to solve the problem. After the patch, "IrricadGEImport.exe" was briefly available in the folder, but it disappeared unexpectedly. How can I fix this and regain the use of Google Earth import functionality?

Thank you!

Hi,

It sounds like your antivirus has quarantined the IrricadGEImport.exe . Open your Anti-virus settings and set a "trusted file" or exception/exclusion for this executable. You should be able to return the file to the IRRICAD Link folder.

Good morning, Jo.

Our antivirus provider set up the Google Earth Import function with the proper permissions. So far, it is working as intended. Thanks for your help!
