pipe length labels considering the topographic difference

Hello everyone, how can I get the actual length of a pipeline considering the topographical difference of that pipeline.

Currently my configuration is like this. (#label# -#length;1# m. )

In a section the linear length can be 50 m, but the actual length with the drop can be 60 m, as you can get that label in irricad.

Hi Miguel,

You can use the label keywords that include "3D" in them, such as #LENGTH3D# or #ROLLS3D#. Then add any required rounding after the '3D' such as #LENGTH3D;1#

Thanks for the answer Jo. I have an additional question, in the irricad list of materials the difference topographic also considered for the length of the pipes?

Hi Miguel,

For the 3D length and rolls labels, and also in the reports, IRRICAD is calculating the elevation difference as a straight slope between the start point and the end point of the pipe (where the junctions are). If there is significant elevation change 'underneath' the pipe segment then in order to have this included in the 3D length place permanent junctions along the pipeline (there is a "Permanent" check box in the Junction dialog that will need to be enabled). Permanent junctions will not be removed during the design process, unlike normal junctions that will be removed when placed on a straight pipeline.

For materials lists, both the Bill of Materials reports and Costing reports will include the 3D lengths.
(FYI, note that that only the Bill of Materials reports will include any rounding or extra allowance percentage added in the Pipe Fitting Matching Table).
