Autocad Link 2022 Hangs at Loading App Plugins irricadARX

Post by Douglas Smith »

Hi Support

We have had a recent windows 10 update and now have a problem loading Autocad Link - with it dropping out and hanging on the file

Loading plug-ins C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link AutoCad\irricad64.arx - then just crashes and drops out

We have performed the following -:

Reset Autocad to Defaults
Reloaded the Link Software (Irricad)
Checked Trusted file locations are set correct
Checked Work Path Locations are set correct
Checked folder permissions etc.

Any possible solutions to this

Thanks
Douglas

Hi Douglas,

The first possible cause that comes to mind is that the IRRICAD dongle is not being detected. I note that you also have IRRICAD Standalone. You can check if the dongle can be found by running Standalone.

If not and the dongle is attached, then the driver, "Sentinel Protection Installer" may have been affected by the update. You can download a newer driver from https://www.irricad.com/irricad/downloa ... r7.7.1.exe .
Select a Custom Install and turn off the un-required options. For a locally connected dongle only the USB System Driver is required:-

A computer restart may be required after the installation.

We have also had reports that having a USB 3.0 item connected when trying to run IRRICAD Link may cause Link to crash under some circumstances.
