Some years ago we updated the web browser technology in the more recent versions of IRRICAD. Versions before V18 use an older technology which, beyond our control, appears to have been blocked and consequently the “Import from Google Earth function” no longer works in these versions.
We are investigating possible solutions for this issue but the fastest solution would be to upgrade your IRRICAD version. If your licence is eligible for Version 18 or higher please install that now. Alternatively contact your local IRRICAD distributor for a quotation to upgrade to the latest version which will provide the latest features along with 12-months of priority support.

Re: Importing from Google Earth in Versions Older Than V18
A fix for the Import from Google Earth utility that works with IRRICAD versions 15-17 is now available.
To fix the V15-17 Import from Google Earth utility:-
1. Download the file from https://www.irricad.com/irricad/downloa ... Import.zip and save to your hard drive.
2. Browse to your installed IRRICAD folder and delete the existing “Xulrunner" folder.
3. Double-click on the Zip file to open and drag all of the contents into the installed IRRICAD folder - "xulrunner" folder and "IrricadGEImport.exe".
4. Say “Yes” to replace “IrricadGEImport.exe”.
Note that the common locations for the installed Irricad folder are:
• For Standalone V17 - C:\Program Files (x86)\Irricad\IRRICAD Pro 17, or if upgraded an older Standalone version see below.
• For Standalone V16 - C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\IRRICAD Pro 16 or older
• For Standalone V15 - C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\IRRICAD Pro 15 or older
• For IRRICAD Link for AutoCAD - C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link AutoCAD
• For IRRICAD Link for BricsCAD - C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link BricsCAD
If the Import from Google Earth utility does not appear when actioned after completing the above steps your computer will require an updated version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Dlls. Download the Microsoft Visual C++ installation from https://www.irricad.com/irricad/downloa ... st.x86.exe and save to your hard-drive. Double click on the VC_redist.x86.exe to run the installation.
Please note that this version of the utility uses an obsolete version of the Xulrunner browser which may possibly, in the future, be blocked by your operating system or by Google. To avoid this we recommended that you upgrade your IRRICAD to the current version via your local distributor.

Re: Importing from Google Earth in Versions Older Than V18
Despite the change we made in March to assist the obsolete browser technology to keep working, it now appears that newer operating systems or Google have blocked its operation completely.
When we get a chance we may be able to investigate if there is any further solution, however this will take some time and the quickest solution is to upgrade.
