¿Windows 10 incompatibility?

Post by jabesmedeiros »

Hi Friends!! I'm a little bit worried about updating my Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I've tried to install Irricad 14 in other notebook with Windows 10 and the software didn't work. The initial Irricad logo appears but the program never charges. Does any one knows something about it :?: :?:

Hi Jabes

I think the installation should be ok. It is a good idea to locate the setup executable file, right click on it, and run as administrator. Make sure that you are connected to the internet during the complete installation process.

Hi Jabes

As Hutch mentions IRRICAD should run on Windows 10 and we have tested this here.

The problem you describe sounds like the VisualCADD registration has failed (normally it takes a day for this to show up) - there is some troubleshooting information on the forum that may help (http://www.irricad.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=395). One thing to note is that if you have a proxy/firewall and need to have a browser open whilst completing the install I would make sure that the browser used was Internet Explorer or Chrome. By default Win 10 doesn't include IE and I'm not sure yet whether the VCADD registration process will work via the Win 10 "Edge" browser.

Regards

Phil

Hi Phil,

we are just about to move onto Windows 10. Reading below it appears V15 Pro it will work fine, however has there been any developments on below email to suggest otherwise?

Thanks, Damian.

Hi Damian,

I have been using IRRICAD on Windows 10 myself for some time now and have not had any issues.
As mentioned in the earlier post the registration process may need Internet Explorer or Chrome open to an outside website if you have a proxy/firewall.
