Reports on Irricad Link

Hello

I transferred some custom zone reports into the irricad link folder for use in zone design. They worked fine however have now disappeared from the report options menus however still exist in the irricad link folder. I have tried deleting and re-installing but no luck.

Any thoughts

Hi Kyle,
I'm not sure I fully understand your situation - are you trying to restore the reports in the standalone Irricad menus? Or include your custom reports in Link? Or both? Hopefully the following points will cover all situations!

• In standalone Irricad, the Report menus are built from the files found in the specified reports folder (the Reports path in the Drawing settings). If you move the template files from this location, the reports will no longer appear in the menus. If you are missing reports you expect to see, simply copy the *fpc files back to the default location (using copy rather than move, if you want them in both places).
• In Link, the system is a little more flexible. You can execute custom reports in the following ways:
  1. If you have placed your custom report template in the default location, you can run it using the IRR_REP command, followed, when prompted, by the file name:

     Code: Select all

     Command: IRR_REP
     Please enter report template name: MyReport.fpc

  2. You can run the report from any location, if you include the full path:

     Code: Select all

     Command: IRR_REP
     Please enter report template name: C:\MyDirectory\MyReport.fpc

  3. You can list and execute the reports available in the default folder using the more specific report commands e.g., IRR_REPZONE:

     Code: Select all

     Command: IRR_REPZONE
     Please enter Zone Report template name or (LI)st:
      1) Zone Control Valve Summary
      2) Zone Design Full
      3) Zone Design Pipe Report
      4) Zone Design Summary
      5) Zone Design Summary  (Uniformity 1 emit)
      6) Zone Design Sum. (Uniformity - multi emit)
      7) Zone Design Travel Time Report
      8) Zone Flushing
     Please enter report number: 1

I hope this helps, please let us know if you require any further assistance. I would note though, that we would only usually recommend uninstalling and reinstalling as a last-resort option for the vast majority of problems. Reinstalling would not, for instance, replace missing custom reports - custom reports are (inherently) not part of the standard install set.
