Tape Block Flows Significant Higher Than SDR

Post by VW Roux »

Hi

Everytime I run a tape design I get a flow roughly 3.314 times greater than the SDR specified flow for the block area. This leads to excessive valve pressures during the design. Please can you assist?

Kind regards,

Hi,

The usual reasons for the differences are:-
- the designed flows are based on the constant and index for the emitter and not the SDR entry. If the emitters are not pressure compensating then a higher pressure will result in a higher block flow.
- the SDR entry is incorrect for the emitter spacing or emitter flow.

Note that you can specify the valve pressure by setting it in Design|Zone Design Configuration - in the "D/S Valve Pressure" column before re-analysing.

If the cause of the issue cannot be resolved please send a copy of your design and database to Support@IRRICAD.com . (PS please note that our office will be closed tomorrow, 25th April, for ANZAC day).
