Access compatibility
Hi all, I was wondering what is the latest MS Access that can be used in conjunction with Irribase ver. 11? Is it still 2007? I am planning to upgrade to Irricad ver.13 soon if that makes a difference regarding the database compatibility. Currently Openoffice Base works alright, but also have Access...

Re: Computer Questions
Dan and Jo - Thanks for the quick response! I found the culprit on my latest design that was bogging my computer down. The design was actually done by another designer whom has since retired, I am just going into it to revise some. Anyways It ended up being tens of thousands of very tiny points scat...

Computer Questions
Hi all! Just wondering about computer specs. My computer runs pretty sluggish on larger designs, mostly with the visual rendering. Turning off the majority of the layers does help quite a bit, but curious...does Irricad benefit much from Workstation graphic cards? I cannot seem to find much info on ...

Re: Design access from a corp. network
1. Are you running IRRICAD Pro Version 11.12? Yes 2. Is IRRICAD installed locally both on your office computer and your home computer? Yes and both are 11.12 3. A good test would be to copy a complete design (i.e. all files) from the network to your hard drive. Then open the same design, in Irricad,...

Design access from a corp. network
Greetings Irricad Team & Users, Question for you folks..I currently save all my design files to a local hard drive at work, which makes things a little difficult due to the fact that almost daily I have to take work home. So I upload any design work I might need to access to a USB drive and down...

Re: valve specification summary
Dan - It does not show a drop down menu at all, however the same design on 10.08 (on my laptop) does.
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks,
Mike

valve specification summary
It seems that since 11.10 I have been unable to get the valve specification summary pull down menu to shown up under valve type to change any of the valves. This is happening with both "list all valves" and "list suitable valves". All projects I have tried seem to have this issue...

Re: database useage issues
Simple solution...it seems when you leave the usage code empty (which I thought was the same as "N"), the assembly can still be used. Changed it to "N" and it was omitted from the selection process.

database useage issues
Hi team - I seem to be having an issue with version 11, it seems to be picking certain assemblies out of the database that are not even turned on for use. This is mainly seen with elbow assemblies that I use for PVC Submain riser pipe to poly pipe lateral connections. Some of our customers want some...

popups focused to primary monitor
Just a minor issue that seems to have come with version 11. I utilize multiple monitors and as of version 11 my "popup" errors, info boxes, etc. appear only on my primary monitor and not the monitor I have Irricad open in as it used to. While it's really only a minor irritation I am curiou...

Re: Pipe Crossing Hop
I also agree, this feature alone could likely cause me my to drop my Autocad and turf design module in favor of Irricad. Currently I have been using symbols to replicate the pipe hops however it is quite time consuming. Another turf related idea though likely more difficult to implement is a densogr...

Re: Crashing issues with 10.58
Dan - I did install 10.5 over version 10, though while on the subject I do somehow have two program folders that appeared when I upgraded to version 10 (still no version 10.5 folder shown). I am not sure if this was intentional nor not. All file paths currently still come from the version 9 folder i...

Text Font Questions
I was wondering is there a good way to remove the majority of the font styles from the available font types?
I find I only use a one or two fonts, and while its a not a big deal to scroll to it. It could be a minor time saving tip if I could eliminate most of ones available.
Thanks!

piping design by pressure requirements
I have a requests that likely has been stated before but throught I would throw it out there anyways. Allowing for pipe design automation to pander towards pressure requirements instead of solely based on costs, (or in lieu of as costs and weight is generally relative). I.E. it may be particularly h...

Re: Crashing issues with 10.58
Irricad Team, Just wanted to mention I hope the recovery for AEI and everyone else within the region is recovering well regarding the Earthquakes. Also that the majority of my crashing issues seem to have been eliminated. A large portion of them were caused by image files within a design not carryin...

Re: Crashing issues with 10.58
Thanks Dan, I sent the corrupt file to your team for evaluation. I typically turn the auto-save off due to the extra potential for crashing and hangups. Instead I use a programmable keyboard to macro tasks I need quick access to such as saving and just try to remember to hit the button quite often, ...

Re: Crashing issues with 10.58
Hi Dan, Thanks for the quick response. Of coarse now neither one of the errors can be replicated now, so not sure what the issues were about but if I do see them resurface I will let you know. For reference though the newly created symbols did not have embedded images within them. Also The Scroll wh...

Crashing issues with 10.58
Greetings...I very recently upgraded to version 10.58 and while it seems to be working well for the most part, I am having some excessive stability issues. The majority of the crashing comes from either trying to bring a recently created symbol into a design. I have tried several file naming variati...
