Re: tree block
Coby,
There is a relatively new label keyword #NUMTREE# which can be used to label Irrigation Blocks with the number of trees. This keyword will also work when only the tree block exists before creation of the Irrigation Block and any outlets.
Note if you have created a tree block from existing or imported symbols you may need to change the layer the symbols are on before the label will work.
There are also ways to simply count the trees without labeling.
Are your tree blocks and tree symbols on their own layer? If so set the Selection Filter to filter on that "Layer" and set the "Type" to Symbol.
Then use a Select tool to highlight the required tree symbols. Right-click on the Info Panel on the Status Bar (3rd grey box from the right-hand side - the default position will say NONE) and the Count will show the number of selected items.
If your tree blocks and symbols are on the default DRAWING layer they may be the only drawing symbols on that layer and therefore the above option will also work. If not then you can use Change Type to move the tree symbols (match on symbol name) to a new layer. The Status Bar will tell you how many tree symbols were moved (matched the criteria). Undo will return the trees to their original layer.
