If the IRRICAD Short-cut No Longer Works Properly

Post by jovivier »

Some anti-virus software such as Kaspersky or Security Manager AV Defender may “quarantine” or remove the IRRICAD executable Winicad.exe. In this case you will receive a message that the short-cut will no longer work properly.

In these cases add an exception in the anti-virus software for Winicad.exe. If the file has been quarantined the Anti-virus software has moved the file awaiting instructions from you. The file will be returned to the IRRICAD folder if you specify it is not a threat.
If the file has been removed un-installing and re-installing IRRICAD will fix the problem, or contact us for the location of the current downloadable Winicad.exe.

Note we do notify the developers of the anti-virus software, when possible, and ask they include an exception in their next upgrade so installing a later version of the anti-virus software may overcome this issue.
