Database exception error

Post by Paul »

Hi, i need help please. I downloaded the latest version 15 irricad and ever since then i got this msg "Please note DBS5. Database exception error-The Microsoft Jet database engine can not open the file C:\Program Files (x86)\AEI Software\IRRICAD Pro 15 you need permission to view the data. It is already opened exclusively by another user (3051). I have tried everything, I even uninstalled Irricad and reinstalled it again and still get the same message. I have attached a screenshot of the error.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Paul,

The message does not list the database .mdb file that was saved as default. It appears that somehow this was removed either in the registry or in Settings|Irrigation - Design Specifics and appears to be the cause of the message.
Version 15.06 will not run if it cannot find the default database however Version 15.08 will. In order to fix this in IRRICAD, rather than the registery, first upgrade to V15.08 by downloading and installing from http://www.irricad.com/irricad/download ... 8Patch.exe .
Now IRRICAD will run and you can go to Settings|Irrigation - Design Specifics. Using the browse button [...] highlight the required database name and click [Open]. Then click the [Save as Defaults] button.
Now close IRRICAD so that these changes are saved to the registry.
