Hi, is there any way to import multiple images from google earth or higher definition images so that I can have better image quality when using Irricad to do larger scale designs? Currently if I am importing over 160 aces, the image quality in google earth is poor when it is uploaded into Irricad. I would like to be able to upload 640 acres or 1 square mile into google earth with good quality.
Thanks
Corby
Import multiple images
Re: Import multiple images
I've just realized that I can get higher resolution images into Irricad just by zooming in further during the Google Earth import. Then you can keep importing more images at this resolution until you have the full scale image you want.
Do you see any problem doing this?

Re: Import multiple images
Hi Corby,
Dan
The only issue we've come across with this is a limit to VisualCADD's video memory capacity. It's hard to pinpoint exactly as it seems to be a function of video card / computer capabilities, colour depth and the number and size of images. The symptoms of this are that, if you add an image that is too large, or too many large images, Irricad will stop displaying them and you will only see the bounding rectangle.
Unfortunately we don't have a particularly useful workaround - you either have to make the images smaller (in pixel x pixel terms) or remove them until the system is capable of displaying them again.
I would also suggest that you do not embed the images, since this is a very inefficient storage method.
