Disabling Tablet Mode

Post by ebillups »

I recently installed a Wacom Cintiq 16 tablet. I don't use it for anything Irricad related but Irricad was affected by the install.
Is there a way I can change the Irricad settings go back to how they were before the tablet was installed?
My biggest problems are the right click menu now has a Settings option at the bottom. This stops me from using the menu hot keys for snapping. The second is clicking the middle mouse button puts me in tablet mode and I constantly get dialog boxes telling me that no tablet scale was entered.
Can someone help me disable all these tablet related functions from Irricad V17.03?
Thanks, Eric

Hi Eric,

As soon as a Wintab32 driver is installed IRRICAD will communicate with it.
Have you tried turning off Tablet Mode in Settings|Digitizer? Does this solve the issue?

If not, and there are no changes that you wish to make to the tablet settings in the Control Panel because it works well with your other software, then edit the tablet settings in the IRRICAD Registry.

To do this:
1. With IRRICAD closed enter Regedit into the Search bar and run the Registry Editor.
2. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AEI Software\Irricad\AppSettings\Tablet
3. You will see a string value called "UseDrivermap". Double-click on this and change the value data to 0 (zero).
Does this solve the issue?

The IRRICAD Team.

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried them and they did not help.

I did find a work around. If I stop the Wacom Professional Service in the Windows 10 Services before I start Irricad, then Irricad operates as before. I can then re-start the Wacom service after Irricad is opened.

Thanks
