Distant image when importing kml!

Post by marcioagr »

Hello!
Because when I import kml, the image is distant from the polygon?
Each time I import the departure is different!

Can you tell tell me what process you are using? It looks like you might be using the new 'Import From Google Earth with KML...' function? Do you get the same disagreement if you import the image from Google and then import the KML file separately?

Can you send or attach the KML file?

One possible reason for would be if the geodetic datum you have specified in your GIS Settings does not agree with your data source (Google Earth uses WGS84/UTM)

So friend Dan Crosby,
Unfortunately, the image insists on moving away .......... every time I try to import it is in a new position .... even using WGS 84 / UTM.
Follow the link below the kml file!

Hi Marcio,
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to replicate this issue over multiple computers.
Please check that you are running Version 18.06.
Also please check that when you draw a pipe that the 'rubberbanding' is attached to the cursor and not offset. This is a quick check that the DPI scaling is correctly set if the computer Text Size is above 100%. Although this is automatic in Version 18.05 and 18.06 in some situations it may still need to be manually set. If the rubberbanding is offset in V18.05 or later on your computer then please follow the manual instructions in our forum post http://www.irricad.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=506.
Note that the new setting in 18.05 and later is DPIOVERRIDE=1.x
Where 1.x is the text size. Use 1.0 for 100%, 1.25 for 125%, etc.

Does this help?

Thank you always for returning!
Yes, my version is 18.06 but unfortunately the error in importing the image from Google Earth continues ...........
I don't know what else I can do!

Hi Marcio,

Your symptoms still suggest that the text size is inconsistent with the scaling. In your Display Settings, please click on the link under the "100% (Recomendado)" that says "Configuraceo de escala avancadas". I have seen instances of the main screen saying one text size the 2nd dialog saying another, such as 125%. Make sure both dialogs say the same and then restart IRRICAD.
Is it now working properly when you use Import from Google Earth?
