Hi.
I've searched the forum but couldn't find a topic that deal with overhead foggers (micro sprinklers) system.
how do I take in to account that the foggers are above ground level,say about 2.5M?
and how do I take in to account the pipe length from the ground up to foggers?
I'm taking a pipe from ground level,going up about 1.0M (Main Line),place the valve and go up the remaining 1.5M (Zone Pipe) to the foggers sub main level.

Hi Ari,
In general, for outlets to be off the ground you will need to use an Outlet Connector (Riser), even if they are connected directly to an elevated pipe. The Outlet Connector database dialog asks for "Height above Ground" - this will be the height of the outlet. It also asks for "HL Equivalent Length" - this will be the entire length of the riser including any 'equivalent lengths' for elbows and other fittings.
Therefore, if the outlets will be 2.5m above ground level the "Height above Ground" will be 2.5m.
If the bottom of the riser is 500mm below ground level the "HL Equivalent Length" will be at least 3m. If the bottom of the riser is 1m above ground level then the "HL Equivalent Length" will be 1.5m (plus any additional 'equivalent lengths' for elbows and other fittings).
Also add the height of the pipe in the pipe dialogs - this is a "Depth" field so in order to be above ground level add a negative "Depth".
Therefore, your horizontal pipes and control valves will have a "Depth" of -1000mm to be 1m above the ground and your submain will be -2500mm. You do not need to draw in the pipes going up vertically as Design allows for the elevation change due to the depth and the Fitting Selection will select these 'risers' for you.

is it possible for you to create a tutorial for this kind of system?
**in the past, what I did was to design the system at "ground level" and insert a filter with head loss (2.8 m for example) to simulate the loss due to the height above ground and the pipe length from the ground up to the sub main line, but I'm looking for a more "accurate" way.

Mainline Depth 500mm
Control Valve Depth -1000mm
Submain Depth -2500mm
Lateral Depth -2500mm
Riser for outlets: "Height Above Ground" will be 2.1m, "HL Equivalent Length" will be length of connector from lateral to outlet = 0.4m.
